Marion Love Christopher age 82, of Nederland passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth  in Beaumont.

 He was born January 11, 1924 in NacogdochesTX. He retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad where he worked as a Carman/Technician. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in NederlandMarion enjoyed his home and family as well as gardening and volleyball.

 Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ora Nell Christopher of Nederland; his children, Barbara Cowart and husband, Gregory of Port Lavaca, TX, Marion Wayne Christopher and wife, Polly of Nederland, Wesley Christopher and wife, LaNan of Bridge City and Rita Parker and husband, Rory of New Braunfels; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Varnel Christopher of Ft. Worth and Kenneth Christopher of Evadale; one sister, Dorothy Vaughn of Nacogdoches

 A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 pm Monday, May 8, 2006 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday May 9, 2006 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Dr. David Higgs officiating. Entombment will follow in the Tranquility Mausoleum of Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
