OSCAR BRISTER

Services for Oscar Brister, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with Bro. Frank Martin officiating and burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Brister, of Groveton, died Tuesday night in a Lufkin hospital. He had lived in Trinity County since 1952 and was formerly of Nacogdoches. Mr. Brister was retired from Texas Foundries Molding Dept. and served in the U. S. Army in WWII. He served on the Centerville ISD board of trustees for 20 years. He was a member of a Church of Christ.
A son, Billy Mac, a Vietnam casualty, preceded him in death in 1968.
