Funeral for John Morris Boozer Sr., 81, of Nacogdoches will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Boozer died June 20, 2006, in Nacogdoches. Born Sept. 5, 1924, in Nacogdoches, he was the son of Minnie Lewis Boozer and Morgan Marshall Boozer. He was employed as sales representative at Carnation Milk for 26 years and retired after 15 years as bus driver for the Montgomery County School District. He was a member of South Side Baptist Church, Conroe. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Johnson Boozer; sons, Morris Boozer and Terry Boozer, both of Nacogdoches; daughter, Barbara Morrow of Garrison; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church Building Fund, 702 Mound Street, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Laird Funeral Home.
