NACOGDOCHES - Memorial services for Harold Everett Boozer, Nacogdoches, formerly of Pasadena, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church of Nacogdoches. Arrangements under direction of Cason, Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches.
Mr. Boozer died May 26, 2007, in Spring.
He was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Nacogdoches to the late Ben and Georgia Boozer. He served in the Army during World War II and participated in the liberation of the Philippines. He worked and lived in Pasadena for more than 30 years where he was a member and deacon of South Main Baptist Church. After retiring from Diamond Chemical/Maxus Energy Corp. he returned to Nacogdoches where he was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Maxie Corine Sanders Boozer; brother, Byron Boozer; and sisters, Mildred Vines and Maurice Hartt.
Survivors include sons, Don Boozer, Austin, Bob Boozer, Cypress, and Jim Boozer, Houston; daughter, Kathy Cook, Spring; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
If desired, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Nacogdoches.
