William Fry Obituary

William Allen Fry, 78, loving husband and companion, father and grandfather, returned to be with his heavenly father at 3:15 p.m. December 16, 2005, at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services for Mr. Fry will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2005, at Laird Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, with Dr. Johnny Dammon, assisted by the Rev. Billy McDaniel, of Fredonia Hill Baptist Church presiding, with music by Mike and Rhonda Thomas. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Fry was the only son of Bill and Mae Sparks Fry. He was born in Nacogdoches on March 23, 1927. Mr. Fry served in the United States Army during World War II, was retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 30 years of service and retired from the Stone Fort Bank after 11 years of service. Mr. Fry is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Fry. On December 18, 2005, they will have been married 58 years. He is also survived by his two sons, Paul Allen Fry and his wife Martha, and William Kent Fry; four grandchildren, Cody Allen Fry, Robert Lee Fry, Dustin Cole Fry and Brittany Lynn Fry; and great-grandson Collin Fry. Mr. Fry was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the American Legion, the Texas Public Employees Association and a member of the Fredonia Hill Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Charles Bright, Floyd Brantley, Willard Birdwell, Clem Russell, Cody Fry, Robert Fry, Dustin Fry and Hatchet Hallmark. The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation for the special care provided to Mr. Fry by his long- time personal physician, Dr. Richard Baker, the administration, medical and intensive care and nursing staffs of Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held at Laird Funeral Home on Sunday, December 18, 2005, from 3 until 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Fredonia Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 1711 South Street, Nacogdoches, TX 75964.
