Private interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born in Nacogdoches, Texas to James B. and Clyde Foote on January 31, 1922. Died in Dallas, Texas on February 11, 2006. Myrph graduated from Stephen F. Austin State Teachers College (now Stephen F. Austin State University) in 1941 with a major in history and a minor in biology. During World War II, Myrph served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in the Philippines and New Guinea, attaining the rank of 1st Sergeant. Upon returning from the war, he married Mary Nell Taylor on February 3, 1946, and they moved to Dallas that year to pursue graduate studies in accounting at Southern Methodist University. In 1950, he earned his CPA degree and started his 25-year public accounting career with his long time business partner, Joe Dranguet, and together they formed Dranguet, Foote, & Co. In 1960, they merged their partnership with Haskins & Sells where he was a partner in the firm. In 1972, he joined Wylain, Inc. as President until his retirement in 1981. During his business career, he served on the Board of Directors of Gulf United Corporation, Gulf Broadcast Company, Zale Corporation, Wylain, and Dallas Federal Savings & Loan. He was a life member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. His love for the community was evident by his many activities. He served as Foreman of the Dallas County Grand Jury in 1958, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees at St. Marks School of Texas, member of the Dallas Salesmanship Club, President of Goodwill Industries, Director Emeritus of the Baylor Health Care System Foundation, and President of the Stephen F. He served as President of the Dallas Club, a member of the Dallas Petroleum Club, President of The Northwood Club, a board member of Brook Hollow Golf Club, and a founding member of Preston Trails Golf Club. Myrph was a devoted and loving husband and father. God gifted him with a keen intellect, a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor, all of which he used for the enjoyment of his family and friends. The family is deeply appreciative to Marta Cortez, Bernice Harris, Vickie Washington, Dorothy Logan, and Lydia Jones for the care that they provided to him during the past few months. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Nell; two sons, G.
