Luea Buford Ayres










 Funeral services for L. B. Ayres, 92, of Cushing will be Monday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at the Dickie Allen Funeral Chapel in Cushing with Bro. Bobby Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cushing City Cemetery. Mr. Ayres passed away Friday, July 3, in Nacogdoches. He was born May 25th, 1923 in the Oak Flat Community near Cushing to Robert Ayres and Lena Satterwhite Ayres. Mr Ayres lived in Cushing all his life and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and the Landmark Baptist Church. Mr Ayres was a dairy farmer for many years. He had served on the Cushing ISD school board, been a member of the Cushing Lions Club and a member of the D.A.V. Mr. Ayres served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estleen Ayres as well as 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Joan and Jerry Beverly, Cushing, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law James L. Ayres, Nacogdoches, Texas, Bob and Becky Aryes, Sacul, Texas, and Mike and Tamitha Ayres, Witchita, Kansas; grandchildren Shad Ayres, Brett Ayres, Kyle Ayres, Krystal Patterson, Jerry Daniel Beverly, Jessica Ayres and Kaitlin Ayres; and five great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at the funeral home in Cushing. Dickie Allen Funeral Home.
