Eight people are standing in a narrow textile and hat store, presumably in downtown Nacogdoches. There are piles of fabric on a table in the center of the photograph. Hats line the back wall. The two men on the right appear to be store clerks and they are servicing another man at a counter. An African-American woman is standing in the back right corner. She is wearing a dark hat and dress. There is another man in the middle of the photograph along the back wall. He is wearing a vest and a dark hat. The three men to the left of the photograph are posing for the camera. The middle man has a sack thrown over his left shoulder. The man to the far left appears to be another clerk. The following names are indicated on the frame of the large photograph: Donegan, Tom Baskin, Allen Scale and two more are unreadable.
